Moalboal
Moalboal's long public white-sand beach, with room to swim and camp
Panagsama, where the sardines are, has almost no beach — it is a rocky shore with dive shops on it. Basdaku is where Moalboal keeps its sand: a wide stretch of white beach a few kilometres north, shallow and gently shelving, with a line of huts and small resorts behind it.
It is a public beach and it is used as one, busy with families at weekends and quiet on a weekday morning. Sunsets face directly out over the Tañon Strait to Negros.
About four kilometres north of Moalboal town at Saavedra, a short tricycle ride from the highway or from Panagsama.
