Cebu City
Cebu's oldest and largest public market — produce, fish and street food
Carbon is where the province's produce lands. Vegetables come down from the highlands overnight, fish comes in from the piers before dawn, and the surrounding streets sell everything from woven baskets to dried mangoes to funeral flowers.
It is a working wholesale market rather than a food hall, and it is at its most alive between four and seven in the morning. Later in the day the retail stalls take over and the pace drops.
At the downtown waterfront end of Cebu City, a short walk from Colon Street. Most downtown jeepney routes terminate at or near it.
