Planning ahead
The next Kabkaban Festival hasn’t been scheduled yet, and the last edition ran November 23–24, 2025. We won’t guess at dates, so there’s nothing to book a stay against — but you can browse stays in Cebu or plan a trip around what you do know.
About This Festival
Kabkaban is the fern that once covered the ground where Carcar now stands, and the festival takes its name from it. The dance is performed on the plaza in front of the rotunda, in the shadow of a church that has been there since 1875.
What to Expect
- A plaza performance rather than a route
- Chicharon and ampao sold on every corner — the town is known for both
Getting There
Any southbound Ceres bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal stops at Carcar rotunda, about an hour and a half. The plaza is directly across from it.
