Danao City

Danao , was founded and establish early 1960’s , which located in the northern part of Cebu province. It lies in the eastern coast between Compostela and Carmen and bounded on the west of Balamban, Asturias and Tuburan.

Danao Citycomes from the word “ Dawanan “ which means a small lake. The livelihood of the people in this city  are making pot ceramics, fiber-crafts, shell crafts, woodcrafts and metal crafts. They have land transportation that includes motorcyle, tricycles and pedicabs. This city has two seaport. Has also a company that generates an employment from the city which is own by a Japanese and is operating in Barangay Sabang that manufactures magnetic heads, micromotors and condensers and the name of this company is Cebu Mitsumi, Inc.They also support  facilities that  includes power , waterworks and transportation. Aside from their livehood of Danao city , you can also find and watch Karansa Festival. Other attractions that you would like to enjoy are Sto. Tomas De Villanueva Church, El Salvador Beach Resort, Sta. Rosa Falls.

Travel Directions: To reach Danao City, go to Cebu North Bus Terminal, you can choose whether you can ride a public bus or if you wish to be comfortable to travel , you can ride a V-hires and it’s takes 1 hour and a half hour to travel.
